In short

The website https://fotoreto.com sets no advertising cookies and has no social media buttons. We use Google Analytics to learn which pages help readers — but only after you click "Accept" in the cookie bar at the bottom of the page. If you click "Decline" or make no choice, the page loads nothing from Google and sets no analytics cookie.

  • Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC): sets the _ga and _ga_<id> cookies on fotoreto.com, kept for up to 2 years, to count page views, pages read, traffic sources (search, social…), device type and approximate country. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We do not use this data for advertising and do not turn on Google's advertising features.
  • Change your mind at any time: click "Cookie settings" in the footer to reopen the choice bar. Choosing "Decline" deletes any _ga cookies already set and stops loading Google Analytics.
  • Your choice is remembered in your browser's Local Storage (a single "accepted" / "declined" flag) and is not sent anywhere.

Other things stored in your browser

  • Website: remembers that you closed the language suggestion (Local Storage, a single "closed" flag).
  • App https://app.fotoreto.com/?lang=en: stores the photos you are editing, your edits, your choices and the app's own files in browser storage (IndexedDB, Cache Storage, Local Storage) so you can resume and work offline. None of it is sent anywhere — see the Privacy policy. The app does not use Google Analytics; it only has cookie-free anonymous statistics (see the Privacy policy).
  • App account (optional): when you sign in, the account server api.fotoreto.com sets one session cookie (HttpOnly, only sent to api.fotoreto.com, expires after 30 days or when you sign out) — required to keep you signed in. The app also keeps a signed entitlement ticket and a random install ID in Local Storage. No sign-in, no cookie.
  • Admin area (used only by the site owner): one session cookie, required to sign in, removed when the browser closes.

Deleting data

In your browser settings, clear site data (cookies and site data) for fotoreto.com and app.fotoreto.com. Note that clearing the app's data also deletes unfinished edits and the looks you added.

If this changes

If the website ever adds any other tool that sets a non-essential cookie, we will update this page and ask for your consent first.
