Terms of use
By using the website https://fotoreto.com or the photo editor https://app.fotoreto.com/?lang=en (together, "Fotoreto"), you agree to these terms. Fotoreto is built and operated by Nguyễn Hoàng Phúc (Hoàng Phúc Photo).
Your photos are yours
You keep all rights to the photos you open and export with Fotoreto. We do not receive, store or claim any rights to your photos — they are processed on your device (see the Privacy policy).
You are responsible for having the right to edit and publish those photos: you took them, or your client or the people in them gave permission, and they do not infringe anyone's copyright or image rights.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Fotoreto to:
- Create, edit or share content that is illegal in Vietnam or where you live, content that exploits children, defamation or fraud.
- Forge documents or produce images meant to deceive, or edit images of others to humiliate or harass them.
- Scan, attack or bulk-download in a way that overloads the servers, or copy the app's code or models to resell under another name.
Looks, AI models and third-party software
The built-in looks, the interface, and the Fotoreto name and logo belong to us; use the looks freely on your photos, including commercial work. The app uses several open-source libraries and AI models under their own licences — see Software licences.
AI tools (depth estimation, AI fill, face detection) give approximate results; always check your photos before delivering or publishing them.
Source code and intellectual property
Fotoreto's source code, the packaged code that runs in your browser, its shaders, algorithms, looks, interface, text and images belong to Nguyễn Hoàng Phúc and are protected under Vietnam's Intellectual Property Law (computer programs are protected as literary works) and international copyright treaties. The fact that the app runs in your browser does not mean its code may be copied.
Without our written permission, you may not:
- Copy the app, download it to run elsewhere, or host the app or any part of it on another domain, app or service.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, de-minify or de-obfuscate the code, or analyse it to reconstruct the source code, algorithms or looks — including with AI tools or automated software.
- Use the code, looks, interface screenshots or the app's output to train AI models or to build a competing product.
- Remove, alter or hide the copyright notices or build identification marks in the app.
Bundled open-source libraries and models remain under their own licences (Software licences); these terms cover the code and content Fotoreto created. Every build of the app carries its own identification mark; when we find a copy we will ask the host or app store to take it down and may take legal action.
Free service and changes
Fotoreto is currently free and needs no account. We may add, change or remove features, or launch paid plans for some advanced features; terms for paid plans will be published under Payments and refunds before any charge.
Limitation of liability
Fotoreto is provided "as is". We work to keep it stable and correct but cannot guarantee it will never fail. Because your photos and data live on your device, always keep your originals; to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for photos or edits lost because the browser cleared its data, a device failed or a software error occurred.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam. Disputes should first be resolved by negotiation; failing that, by the competent authorities of Vietnam.
